At Belfast Hair Transplant, patients approved for surgery can reserve a treatment date without paying an upfront deposit. The consultation comes first, giving us time to assess your hair loss, examine the donor area and discuss what you want the procedure to achieve.
If you decide to go ahead, your procedure, graft requirement and complete price are confirmed in writing before the operation. Payment is then made on the day of surgery under the terms agreed with the clinic.
Choosing the no-deposit option does not shorten the assessment or change the treatment plan. It simply means you are not asked to pay money before you have received the information needed to make your decision.
Book a Free Consultation

The first step is a consultation. We assess the pattern of your hair loss, the quality and supply of your donor hair, your medical history and what you want to achieve. This allows the clinic to decide whether surgery is suitable and what treatment plan makes sense for you.
If treatment is recommended, you will receive a proposed graft number, procedure plan and written price. The clinic can then confirm whether your surgery can be booked without an upfront deposit.
Once the date has been agreed, no deposit is collected when the booking is made. Payment is made on the day of treatment. The procedure, planning and aftercare remain the same as they would for a patient paying a deposit.
A no-deposit booking does not reduce or change the price of treatment. Your quote is based on the procedure planned for you, including the number of grafts required, the area being restored, the condition of your donor hair and the complexity of the work.
You should receive the proposed treatment plan and written price before accepting a surgery date. Our hair transplant cost guide explains the factors that affect the final figure and the guide prices used by the clinic.
Because no money has been taken upfront, there is no deposit refund to request if you decide not to proceed before payment is collected. Any booking, cancellation or date-change conditions provided by the clinic still apply once a surgery date has been reserved.
Hair transplant surgery should not be booked impulsively. You need time to understand how your donor hair will be used, which areas will be treated, how many grafts are proposed and what can realistically be achieved.
The consultation should concentrate on your hair loss, donor-area quality, medical history and long-term planning. Its purpose is to decide whether surgery is suitable and explain the proposed treatment clearly before a date is booked.
You can review the procedure, expected recovery and likely result without having already paid money towards the operation. This gives you a clearer opportunity to decide whether the proposed treatment matches your goals.
Booking without a deposit does not remove the need to attend appointments, follow pre-operative instructions or give the clinic reasonable notice if your circumstances change.
A no-deposit booking changes when payment is collected. It does not divide the treatment price into monthly repayments. The full agreed balance is paid on the day of treatment.
Finance is a separate payment route for patients who want to spread part of the treatment cost. It requires an application to a finance provider, and the repayment term, interest, fees and total amount repayable are confirmed by that provider.
Patients considering monthly repayments can read the clinic’s hair transplant finance information before deciding which payment route is suitable.
The treatment recommendation should be based on your hair loss, donor supply and long-term requirements. Choosing a no-deposit booking or applying for finance does not change the procedure that is recommended for you.
Hair transplant planning at Belfast Hair Transplant can include an assessment with Dr Harpreet Kalra. The assessment considers whether surgery is appropriate, which method is suited to your case and how the available donor hair should be used.
Graft numbers affect the amount of coverage that can be created, the final price and the donor hair left for the future. A sensible plan avoids using an excessive number of grafts simply to fill a visible area in one operation.

A hairline needs a different design and placement pattern from a crown, where the grafts must follow the direction of the natural whorl. The proposed design should account for your existing hair, likely future hair loss and the amount of donor hair available.
FUE, DHI and FUT can be discussed during the consultation. The method chosen depends on your donor characteristics, graft requirement and the area being restored.
Long-term planning is particularly important when existing hair is likely to continue thinning. Using too much donor hair in one procedure can restrict the options available later. The aim is to restore the areas that matter most without compromising the donor area for the future.
Surgery is not the right next step for everyone. Some patients may be better suited to a medication discussion, PRP treatment or a period of monitoring before surgery is considered.

No. A no-deposit booking means the full balance is collected later. Finance divides an approved amount into repayments through a finance provider. More information is available on the hair transplant finance page.
The consultation and assessment take place before the surgical date is confirmed. This allows the clinic to assess your donor hair, discuss your goals and prepare an appropriate treatment plan.
The option is confirmed after the clinic has assessed your hair loss, donor area, treatment requirements and proposed booking. Approval for treatment does not remove the normal clinical assessment or booking conditions.
Contact the clinic as soon as possible if your circumstances change. The cancellation and date-change conditions provided with your booking continue to apply even when no upfront deposit has been taken.
